From the piercings to the tattoos to the loud cars, your mother never
really liked the guys you dated.
So why not do mom proud and spend tonight with a PhD-wielding fellow?
Dundas, Ontario native Daniel Snaith may have a doctorate in
mathematics, but this math geek has figured out an equation for indie
electronic rock that is much more accessible than grade 11 calculus.
Recording under the name Caribou
(formerly known as Manitoba), Snaith’s latest album Andorra is
a tribute to the sweet sounds of The Beach Boys with a psychedelic kick.
Expect a live show as mind altering as the LSD trip in the wilderness
that first gave Snaith the inspiration for his iconic Canadian name.
What?! He’s a proud Canadian. There are some things mom doesn’t need to
find out.
Enjoy Caribou tonight at Lee’s Palace, tickets are $15.
