If youre as saddened as we are about the passing of fashion great Yves
Saint Laurent, find comfort at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
A retrospective
of the designers work features 145 accessorized creations that span an
impressive 40-year career. We were struck by the timelessness of Saint
Laurents designs, most of which wouldnt be out of place on the current
pages of Vogue: Mondrian cocktail dresses c. 1965, a satin
Norman blouse c. 1962 and the original grain de poudre dress worn by
Catherine Deneuve in Belle de jour (1967).
Adieu M. Saint Laurent, you will be missed.
