When it comes to weekend revelry, if we want The Hills kind of
night out we do the Granville Strip, but if we aim to leave the heels at
home, chill with a pint and really hit the dance floor, we make our way
to Metropole.
Recently reopened, the new Met is the younger, hipper son of its pub
forefather. The old charm of its tiled floor, brick walls and arch
windows remain, as does its famed karaoke nights, but now theres a
regular roster of some of Vancouvers best and brightest DJs, like Ernold
Sane and Trevor Risk, and a crowd of cool artist types to rub elbows
with.
And if the cast of a certain vampire movie has been there more than
once, you know its hot.
