Fire ‘em up

October 27, 2010

Picasso were not, but we sure like to manhandle a little mud.

Michelle
Kosoy’s ceramics studio
on St. Clair West is a lovely place to learn
how to pinch, coil and work a slab into a beautiful (if not quite
perfect) bowl. And if you’re feeling brave, try your hand at the pottery
wheel. Lessons are informal and you can work at your own pace.

The more whimsical your wares, the more Pablo would approve.

Kosoy + Bouchard, 651 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto. Five-week classes
($270 includes materials, firings and taxes). Call 416-651-4480 for
class schedule. Kosoy’s own delicate
pottery
is available to purchase at the studio.
