A Chop off the Old Block

December 17, 2010

With so many new places to daintily dine on an elegant afternoon tea,
sometimes we just want to hunker down with a bold red wine and a burger.

Le Hachoir
brings a much needed masculine-chic vibe to the St. Denis strip, with
wood tables, rich leather chairs, exposed pipes, and meat on the menu.
We started with crispy bites of popcorn shrimp ($11) followed by a
refreshing Mediterranean Salmon tartare ($9) Things got meaty with a
mouth-watering Classic burger with beef, bacon and cheddar ($12.50) and
the A.O.C. burger with ground venison, Riopelle cheese, and foie gras.

Of course, we kept our pinkies up whilst we devoured these manly meals.
We are ladies, you know.
