When we heard that chefs Marc Cohen and Ethan Wills had left The Sparrow
brunch-less, we panicked. Where would we spend our Sunday mornings now?
Turns out we only had to cross the street to find their new venture, Lawrence.
This bright, airy restaurant features many of the same breakfast dishes
that fuelled the infinite line-up at The Sparrow, including ultra-creamy
scrambled eggs and smoked salmon ($14), savoury baked eggs with celeriac
and oyster mushrooms ($16), and warm, sweet lemon doughnuts for
breakfast-dessert ($5). With the evolving menu teasing us on Twitter,
were inspired to do something radical.
Go for dinner.
