The Fibonacci Sequence has always held an air of mystery, showing the
inherent connectedness of math, science, and nature.
The molecular gastronomy stylings of Fibo
Restaurant bring dining into the mix, with cuisine and cocktails
that cheekily reference the famous set of numbers by taking one
ingredient and building on it exponentially. We started with a tasty
appetizer of aphrodisiac oysters ($17) with passion fruit pearls and
shavings of icy vodka, followed by a tuna tataki crusted in hemp and
volcanic salt and saucily topped with a piece of liquorice ($19).
Instead of dessert we delighted in the mad-scientist cocktail list that
made taking the three sets of stairs back down to ground level more than
a little treacherous. Our favourite? Cyrogenically frozen berries
floating in bubbles and sloe gin ($15).
