From a grand entrance ball gown to a perfectly tailored wool suit,
sometimes the clothes make the movie.
The Glenbow Museum puts fashion on display with its exhibit Cut,
Costume and the Cinema featuring 43 movie outfits from
London-based costumery Cosprop.
Take a gander at the tiny corseted gown Kiera Knightley wore as The
Duchess and Emmy Rossums bustled backside for Christine in The
Phantom of the Opera. Duds donned by Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman
and Scarlett Johansson are intermixed with manly costumes worn by Daniel
Craig, Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr.
Each stitch has as story even if starts with the question, What would
you wear under that dress? Answer: some painful looking underpinnings.
