Om Homes Kantha quilts are handmade in India and come direct from the artisan. Herewith, five ways we’ll be using ours this summer.

1. Using it as an alternative to our duvet when it gets hot in the summer months. No more sweaty tossing and turning, instead sweet dreams of air conditioners.

2. Putting it on our guest room bed, it is bound to impress all the summer visitors (even if our guest room bed is a blow up mattress in the living room.)

3. Giving it as a shower gift. The crib size makes a lovely present for a new baby, and most of the designs are unisex. The King or Queen size is a great wedding or hostess present.

4. Laying it on the grass for a colourful picnic. While this might be an expensive picnic blanket, youll be the belle of the park.

5. Decorating our summer cabin with it, this will be a great focal point for the master bedroom. And if there’s no summer cabin, it will work great in our camping trailer or tent, too.
