Coffee Talk

June 28, 2013

Working in the city centre, we’ve always been a bit jealous that Main
Street and Gastown have the bulk of cool coffee shops.

But when we spotted the Intelligentsia
logo
(the coffee brand has a die-hard following in LA) at a new-ish
spot up the street from our office, we knew things were about to change. Aperture
Coffee Bar
exclusively serves Intelligentsia beans the right way (my
Americano was made on a swank Simonelli machine and served as an
espresso with a separate carafe of hot water) and has a light menu that
includes gluten free and vegan peanut butter, banana and chocolate chip
cookie, daily quiches and wraps. Grab a seat at a communal wood table
(next to the Tom Hardy lookalike, like we did) and get started on meet
cute.

Maybe we are in LA after all.
