Desert Rosé

July 11, 2013

Wine country calls all year long, but late spring and summer are when
the Okanagan really shines. With that, I headed up to Osyoos for the Oliver
Osoyoos Oyster Festival
and thought now would be the perfect time to
post my photos for those of us heading up to our favourite summer spot
(Ill be there again next week!).

On our way up, we stopped at the expansive Mission Hill Winery o stretch
our legs – that bell tower is quite the sight.

Once we were comfortably settled in our spacious suite at Walnut
Beach Resort
, we settled in on the deck overlooking the peaceful
lake.

The next day, we headed out to the poolside lounge for the entire reason
for our visit – oysters and wine! There was no shortage of either.

We marveled at the genius of this plate that holds a wine glass for you.
That’s right, you can carry your food and your wine in one hand, leaving
a take a photo (obviously).

This 4-year-old shucker was the star of the party!

The next morning, we set off for home and ran into a surprise snowstorm
ont he highway. Certainly made us wish we had stayed in the sunny
Okanagan a little longer.

We’ll be back soon enough…
