A children’s oncology worker by day- and an artist by night, Toronto’s Gloria
Green never quits.
You’ve probably already seen her work around town. It’s in coffee shops,
hospitals, restaurants and homes. The abstract nature of the art makes
it pretty flexible. (installations: here)
To shake off a long day at work, she cracks the wine, slips into her
black kicks, pumps the music, and digs into her art. She brings with her
the memories of graffiti spotted on the way home, cracks in the
concrete, dusty window frames, and energy she needs to work her way
through.
The result: Street Noyz
A month-long exhibit on display at Rue
Pigalle from July 17th.
She gives it her time, and she gives it her house. At this point almost
every inch of wall space in her Yorkville loft is a temporary home for
her work – a pretty amazing spectacle, by a pretty amazing lady.
