The always-popular Folk Fest is even more anticipated this year, as
volunteers have been working around-the-clock to get flood-ravaged
Princes Island Park ready. We’ll be showing our appreciation at these
headlining shows:
Since the world first heard their hit single Hold On, the seemingly
overnight success of Alabama Shakes has been staggering. The combination
of classic soul and rock is sure to get the crowd going. And seriously
guys, how fab is leader singer Brittany Howard?
Weve always had a soft spot for Steve Earle and cant resist Galway Girl.
The often-covered, never duplicated, Grammy-winning Earle, will surely
impress with songs off his 14th studio album, Ill Never Get Out of
This World Alive.
Creedence
Clearwater Revisited
Some of the greatest classic rock songs ever came to us through
Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR, yall) and former members Stu Cook and
Doug Cosmo Clifford got together to form Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
We cant wait to be wooed by songs off their album Recollection,
which brings us the bands classic hits like Have You Ever Seen the
Rain, Bad Moon Rising and Born on the Bayou.
