I believe I can (super)fly

July 31, 2013

Side by side, we flew down the highest and the longest zip lines in
Canada.

Superfly toursis
the new kid on the mountain, offering tourists and locals a taste of
adventure in Whistler with ziplinning, treetop tours, river rafting and
more. We had a chance to try lines, and face some fears.

The ziplining tour is quite long (just under four hours), so we
recommend doing the morning tour to make the most of your day.

We really liked that all 6 zip lines are tandem! Soaring for a minute
and a half side by side is the way to go. Watching a friend just in
front of you, and trying to catch up, head to head racing down the
fastest line or even holding hands (which just turns into slingshotting).

The harness is actually a chair, which makes it very comfortable! We
were never pulling at it or adjusting it. The guides also made us feel
safe and comfortable, and engaged our small group, which significantly
added to the experience.

Each line is a little different. The highest line is 639 feet above
seafloor, so you might not want to look down and you really feel like
you’re flying. The longest line is over one kilometre, so you’re in the
air for over a minute, remember to breathe.

As we were getting locked into each line, we were excited, nervous,
scared, excited, all of it. And when we came crashing (you really do
crash into the braking system) into the landing area, we were all
giggles and laughter!

One time is not enough.
