stay

Riad El Fenn which
means the home of Art is just mind blowing. With its incredible art
collection and amazing decor, Riad El Fen is sure to please your
artistic soul. Every corner of this guesthouse is brilliantly styled
with an attention to detail and an added touch of art in every nook and
cranny. The little boutique has some very unique finds, the spa is a
little hidden heavenly spot and dont get me going about its magnificent
rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view overlooking the Koutoubia
mosque. Its the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and the hippest place to
stay. Riad El Fenn, Derb Moullay Abdullah Ben Hezzian, Bab El Ksour,
Medina, Marrakech, www.el-fenn.com

shop

Without any doubt the most amazing shopping experience in Marrakesh
belongs to its souk market. Get started in one of the labyrinths
surrounding Place Jemma el-Fnaa and just stroll down kilometers of
handcrafted goodies. Kilim pillows, rugs, lanterns, tea glasses, leather
babouches slippers, all available in amazing colors. Bargaining is a
must, its just part of the game, give it a try! And dont you worry about
getting lost, its impossible not to! When you’re done, just ask someone
where you can find an exit and youll be able to catch a taxi on the
street.

do

Visit The Ben Youssef Madrasa, a 14th century Islamic college, a great
example of traditional Islamic architecture. Youll see stunning,
colorful, abundant mosaics in fine geometric patterns and finely
engraved Arabic inscriptions. Youll be able to visit the ancient student
dormitory cells and feel the special vibe of the courtyard in this
superb medersa. Ben Youssef Medersa, Rue Souk el Khemis, Marrakesh,
Morocco.

After a long day at the souk, you will absolutely need a bit of quiet
and a break from the crowds. Youll find a little hidden gem in the heart
of the souk, its a rooftop terrace called Terrasse
Des Épices
. Its the perfect place for a late lunch. The decor
is very baba cool so you can chill for a few hours sipping on a
delicious cinnamon infusion. Try a wonderful tagine and dont you dare
skip dessert! Terrasse des Épices, 15, souk Cherifia. Sidi Abdelaziz.
