How often does this scenario play out: You’re chained to your desk, thinking "I’m too busy for lunch" when your stomach growls so loud your co-workers think someone let a lion loose in the office. Three Vitamin Daily gals recently found themselves in that position and decided to (gasp!) leave their desk and have lunch al fresco with a little Mucho Burrito, which is just up the street from our office (at Broadway and Ash, to be exact).


Satisfying the lunchtime wants of three different people is no easy feat: we wanted a patio, healthy options and a lot of variety. Too much to ask for? Not at Mucho Burrito.

After much debate, we settled on two types of tacos (hard shell and soft shell) filled with grain-fed chicken, AAA beef and fresh tilapia and topped with house-roasted salsa and made-on-site-daily guacamole, and a veggie- filled chicken salad. We settled into a booth with your ice-cold Mexican sodas and bopped to the pop music (en español!) as we waited just a few minutes for food.

Our promotions coordinator Samira was more than happy to be our first taste tester.

Before everything disappeared too quickly, we took our lunch at the abstract Broadway Plaza Fountain – our managing editor Maria Tallarico was pretty liberal with Devil’s Tongue hot sauce and almost went for a dip!

We finished lunch with an order of churos with dulce de leche dipping sauce. You know, for the full dining experience. Here’s our marketing director Kate taking a sweet bite.
