August 14, 2013

No need to jet over to our favourite
Caribbean islan
d this weekend.

The Montreal International Reggae Festival, which celebrates its 10th
anniversary this year, is bringing the island sound to our (decidedly
less tropical) island.

Must-see acts include Morgan Heritages (dubbed The Rolling Stones of
Reggae), Shaggy (Mr. Bombastic himself), Beenie Man (whose uncle played
drums for Jimmy Cliff), Freddie McGregor (a Grammy nominee), Tifa (the
up-and-coming queen of dancehall, pictured) and more.

This weekend, everything irie. Christine Laroche
