Last week, we traipsed up to South Granville to get a sneak peek at Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids’ new themes and items for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We barely had one foot in the door and already had a yearning to revamp our place for the holiday season.
Pottery Barn Kids has even more Halloween costumes for the kiddies this year, everything from girl pirates and peacocks to elephants and parrots. If only they came in adult sizes, too! Vintage las muertas-style prints on the Halloween tabletop plates have a nostalgic feel to them, and we couldn’t get over the adorable little paper mache skeleton treat containers.
Children grow up so fast, and it’s nice to know that so much of the bedroom decor at Pottery Barn Kids is transitional, like the tufted (for girls) and leather (for boys) headboards.
For nurseries, their chandeliers are super chic and can stay in the ceiling even as your baby quickly becomes a little person.
At the adult store aka. Pottery Barn fall is in full swing. The brands approach to dressing a Thanksgiving table (or any table) is much the same as dressing oneself: mixing and matching prints and textures is a-okay. Ceramics are handmade by artisans in Portugal, and some of the pretty pillow prints started as watercolour paintings that were then stitched onto the pillows themselves.
Gifting a hostess has never been easier, either, thanks to a selection of beautiful silver salt and pepper shakers, each of which comes with a story card.
We cant wait to be at home for the holidays.
A special thanks to Kendra Stewart of Pottery Barn and Kimberly Terry of Pottery Barn Kids for showing us around!
