It’s been quite a year – we traveled near (TIFF) and far (Hong Kong, Copenhagen and Berlin, to name a few spots).
We tried a magnetic facial and flew down the highest and longest zipline in Canada – all in the name of research, of course.
Just in time for 2014, we launched a new website – see our revamped look here. And you may have noticed us on social media, too; read the most popular dose (based on Facebook likes and shares) here.
We had our own favourite moments, too. Herewith, our editors share their most memorable doses, blogs and experiences from 2013.

Two of my very favourite things opened in 2013: Impasto, Stefano Faita and Michele Forgione’s divine Little Italy eatery and Le Saint-Jude, a fabulous spa/gym built inside a converted church.

This was a big year in Calgary for fashionistas and foodies alike. Lots of great restaurants opened and some big, international retailers set up shop in the city. A few personal faces include the recently expanded Symons Valley Farmers Market and Heather and Co.’s beautiful Mount Royal shop filled with carefully curated textiles.

I’m into my second round of mentoring with Ryan Nicodemus and the whole minimalism movement has seriously changed my life. It feels so good to free yourself from excessive consumption; the advice is great, he grounds me, and I find the slight twang in his American accent quite cute.
