Los Compadres started as a food truck that we familiarized ourselves with (maybe a little too much) during the city’s short-lived food truck season.
But as winter settled over Calgary we were suffering withdrawals, until we discovered we could get Los Compadre’s Mexican delights at its new 17 Avenue location. The small, full service café is fun and super colourful, bringing a little taste of Mexico and sun to the city. The food is legit and fresh: the Huevos Rancheros is worth the trip as is the selection of house-made salsas in Chipotle, Roja, Verde and GuacaVerde
