Creepy critters and peering eyeballs hide in every nook and cranny of artist Jill Stanton’s Strange Dream exhibition, new at the Art Gallery of Alberta.
Hand-painted on more than 200 individual panels, Stanton’s pieced together a mural of psychedelic flora and fauna that covers three walls of the AGA’s main foyer. The work is overwhelming in detail—a virtual Where’s Waldo of quirky characters in a hallucinatory world.
This is one art exhibition you won’t want to sleep through. —Janis Galloway
