More than 8 million followers don’t lie—Jan Halvarson is a Pinterest maven.
Everything the founder of Canadian blog Poppytalk gravitates toward, from heart-shaped succulents to berry-spiked s’mores, are a little imperfect (some faded paint here, a popsicle drip there) and very charming. That "just off enough to be on" sensibility caught Target’s eye—now, the retailer is prepping to launch a collection of camping goods (correction: "glamping" goods) in collaboration with Poppytalk on June 22nd.
The group includes retro-kitsch marshmallow skewers and thermoses (the kind you’d find in your grandma’s attic, but in fresh Ladurée hues), paper plates in floral designs, perfect wicker picnic baskets and drinking straws with barbershop-pole stripes. A portable barbecue bucket in powder blue demands to be taken to the beach and Instagramed extensively. To be honest, attending the launch event for the collection at the Vancouver Art Gallery’s rooftop patio made us feel like we were in a Pinterest board ourselves. An awesome one. —Adrienne Matei
