Edmonton has a festival for just about everything, and this year we welcome one more sizzling event to the mix of summer fêtes.
BaconFest YEG celebrates most carnivore’s favourite, crispy meat in a two-day festival starring bacon (duh!) in every form imaginable. Ten Edmonton restaurants will be showing off their bacon skills, incorporating it into everything from Bacon Vodka Caesars to Bacon Lollipops and even Gourmet Bacon Popcorn. The icing on the bacon? A portion of ticket sales ($75 each) will be donated to E4C’s School Lunch Program, which provides healthy lunches to Edmonton schools in high-need areas.
