When your Paris vacation fund runs out, a petite visit to Colette Grand Café will satisfy your inner Francophile—at least pour un moment.
This light, airy resto occupying the former Scarpetta space in the Thompson Hotel boasts a dining room, lounge and bakery-café, plus a large patio and modern pavilion in the hotel’s courtyard. We popped in for a latte, taken with the most sublime lemon bichon and (we couldn’t resist!) a perfectly flaky croissant. Lovely tiled floors, fresh fleurs, chic lighting and pretty blue banquettes heightened our full-sensory experience. Even before our pastry party was over, we’d already made plans to return for le dîner (can’t wait to taste the lobster vichyssoise and shellfish marinière).
À la prochaine fois. —Karen Kwan
