Word and Colour is an electronic journal with a twist: the words are inspired by the colours.
In other words (or colours, sorry), the website features the work of artists from across Canada and around the world paired with pieces of fiction inspired by the art itself. Think of it like a visual lexical matchmaking service that enables creative collaborations twice a week, for free. Founded in Montreal last summer, Word and Colour provides a welcome change in the way that writers and visual artists remain amicably in contrast with each other.
It’s about time we started reading in technicolour. —Ariella Starkman
