The Glenbow Museum has rolled out the fifth and final installment in its Made in Calgary exhibit, which follows the city’s art community through the last five decades.
For the past year-and-a-half, Glenbow’s treated us to some amazing, local work, from the booming art scene of the ’60s to the adventurous ’70s, the reinvention of art in the ’80s and the experimental ’90s. Now, the 2000 exhibit exposes the not-yet-defined nature of contemporary art in Calgary via the diverse work of new and established city artists.
We can’t wait to see what the next 50 years has in store. —Sara Samson
