Christmas at the Aquarium

December 11, 2014

vancouver aquariumThe holidays are tradition-oriented, and that’s great! But if you feel like your last trip to see the Nutcracker or Santa at the mall was just yesterday, perhaps it’s time to make a seasonal splash with something new.

Try getting your whole-family holiday fun in an unexpected and educational capacity at the (newly renovated) Vancouver Aquarium. Until January 4th, the aquarium is home to a maze of decorated trees and a rainbow kaleidoscope of ocean-inspired trimmings (including a unique driftwood-and-debris tree by local artist Pete Clarkson). Wander through them with a cup of hot chocolate before catching Scuba Claus taking his daily dip with the fish or hopping on board the Polar Express 4-D experience.

It’s a wet winter wonderland. —Adrienne Matei
