Take the best elements of the Prohibition era, throw in some modern glam, and you’ve got CC Lounge on Front.
This stunning dining space blends the old (the restaurant/lounge is housed in the historic Beardmore Building, boasting original exposed brick and curved windows) with the new (including a series of sparkling pendulum-esque chandeliers swinging from the ceiling). A secretive whisky tunnel leads to a selection of more than 100 bottles, while the kitchen turns out a decadent, comfort food-filled menu with items—like a foie gras poutine—that pair well with a stiff drink.
It almost makes us long to have lived during the ’20s—minus the ban on alcohol. —Karen Kwan
