Now in its second year, the Canmore Uncorked food and wine extravaganza is on April 7th to 19th. Here are some of the top reasons you should go:
culinary symphony: This innovative show brings food and music together for a sensory tasting. On April 13th, the Juno-nominated Quartetto Gelato will pair with equally talented Canmore chefs to put on this exciting event.
progressive dinners: Why stick to just one restaurant when you can dine at five? This meal program means you get to sample a set course (paired with a drink, natch) at every eatery along the way.
whisky festival: This new event, on April 10th, is a fundraiser for Canmore’s annual Highland Games; expect authentic Scottish festivities including lively dancing, music and an all-around good time. Oh, and whisky, lots of whisky.
pre-fixe dining: With so many great eats in town, here’s your chance to try some of the pricier ones. This year there are 26 restaurants participating with fixed menus of $19, $29 and $39, including Chez Francois, Crazyweed and The Iron Goat.
