We’ve seen Santa on skis, but never before have we seen Santa in scuba gear!
Vancouver Aquarium is getting into the holiday spirit by hosting Scuba Claus for the holidays. He’ll be getting his daily exercise with twice-daily dives: one dive with halibut, rockfishes, sturgeon and sea stars in the Strait of Georgia exhibit, and one dive with belugas. When not diving, Scuba Claus will be roaming the galleries schmoozing with visitors.
When Santa’s busy making his rounds, there are lots of other activities to keep visitors entertained! Hop on the Polar Express 4D Experience for a thrilling 4-D adventure complete with the rumble of the train, magical falling snow and the heavenly scent of hot chocolate. Or check out the most unique Christmas trees in town: the electric eel-powered tree, and a one-of-a-kind "marine debris tree" created by B.C. artist Pete Clarkson. You can also enjoy festive aquatic décor throughout the galleries, the interactive Jelly Swarm light exhibit, holiday crafts and more.
Scuba Claus will be visiting until December 24th but all other activities continue until January 4th.
