Prairie Noodle Shop

January 21, 2016

Ramen lovers rejoice! After months of whispers, Prairie Noodle Shop has opened its 124 St doors. Edmonton’s newest slurp spot seeks to add a little Alberta flavour to the traditional Japanese dish. According to the team behind the new culinary venture, “ramen may be rooted in Japanese culture, but it’s defined by the region in which it is made.” And that is exactly what you’ll find on the menu at this noodle joint. Think Prairie Pork ramen or smoked gouda miso. Both using hyper-local ingredients while maintaining the traditional Japanese methods and flavours we know and love. The menu also offers up some tempting appetizers like molasses corn bread, prairie pork buns and charcoal salted edamame.
