In anticipation of the Vancouver Aquarium’s Wines for Waves gala at the Four Seasons Hotel on April 28 (tickets, www.vanaqua.org) we tasted our way through the finest new releases of the Naramata bench to bring you this list of lesser-known labels.
Monster Skinny Dip Chardonnay’s ($18) clear, labelless bottle lets the golden hue shine through. Not a hint of oak (which is nice in the summer heat) as is the peachy-ness.
Pair with: a salad of grilled Okanagan peaches and figs with torn buratta cheese and sourdough croutons. Preferably on the deck overlooking the ocean. www.monstervineyards.ca
