Tangram Creamery

May 12, 2016

The made-from-scratch gourmet ice cream at Tangram is served in innovative cones made from sweet and buttery Langue de Chat (read: cat’s tongue in French) cookies with tips dipped in chocolate to prevent melted ice cream from dripping. Topping our cookie cones were flavours like Hojicha (roasted green tea), Black Sesame and Matcha. Another must-try is the macaron ice cream sandwiches which allowed us to fulfill two sweet cravings and get an easy Instagram photo op at the same time. The small space fits about a dozen at its communal table, enhanced with an industrial pipe and mason jar chandelier, hand built by the owners.

Dessert lovers, add Tangram to your list, because like the Chinese tangram puzzle, their “creativity is endless,” says co-owner Michael Wong. — Miranda Sam
