Greek Goodness: Nammos Estiatorio

May 19, 2016

A new generation of Greeks is building on the hospitality of their fathers (and forefathers) to bring you more than just souvlaki on Fraser Street. Nammos Estiatorio, a name inspired by a famous beach on the Greek Island of Mykonos, offers family-style dining, but when you taste these dishes you many not want to share.

Owned by the Kerasiotis family, no stranger to the restaurant business, having pioneered Olympia Pizza on Broadway and many clubs around town, you may be greeted by the father Nick or mother Effie, but in this new hot spot you’ll see more of their sons, Yianni and Petro, and their cousin Chef Iggy in the kitchen.

The lamb chops are divine, and while you may not be able to pronounce "Htapothi Scharas" (grilled octopus), you’ll want to order it. Lots of veggies complete your meal and don’t miss the chocolate baklava! — Cassandra Anderton
