Calgary’s newest pub is not one, but three great bars.
We were all disappointed when the much-loved Unicorn Pub shuttered a few years ago but now it’s back on Stephen Ave. (in the space formally occupied by The Libertine and Below Deck) as The Unicorn Superpub, a three-level mega pub. Each floor has its own unique vibe—on the lower level is Celtic Cellar, an East Coast-inspired eatery with live music and traditional pub food. On the main level you’ll find Classic Calgary, which feels the most like The Unicorn and features craft beer, and elevated pub food. Finally, on the top level is Sports Cantina, a sports-themed hangout complete with TVs and a Tex-Mex-inspired menu.
