We Love Britain’s Teapigs Teas

May 26, 2016

Only our saucy cousins in the UK could get away with naming something as dainty as a tea company Teapigs. The 10-year-old tea brand, led by an experienced tea taster and a self-proclaimed tea evangelist, have brought the brash energy of a tent revival to Britain’s consecrated tea culture—calling their biodegradable tea bags “tea temples” and preaching the gospel of real, whole-leaf tea.

Now, Canadians can enjoy some of the most creative flavour combos from the long-popular line. We recently sat down for an afternoon of pampering at Blo in the Four Seasons to sample the new steeps. Blends like Popcorn Tea, with its grains of toasted rice, and Lemon and Ginger (serve over ice for a refreshing twist) had us singing their praises, while quirkier brews like the addictive Chocolate Flake and the best-selling Liquorice and Peppermint had us greedy for more.
