If, like us, you’ve ever disappeared down an internet rabbit hole thanks to excessive consumption of cat videos (OMG, he’s wearing a crinoline… OMG, he’s on the Roomba… OMG, I missed work…) you’ll be thrilled to hear the Just for Cats festival is coming to VIFF Vancity Theatre this weekend. What is it? A 65-minute reel of the best cat videos the web has to offer, programmed by Will Braden (creator of Henri Le Chat Noir). The event has a serious intent: it’s co-presented with BC SPCA and proceeds of ticket sales will go to the charity. As well as watching the film, you’ll be able to make buttons and cat ears, buy merchandise, and even meet some special kitties.
