Test Drive Your Appliances at Miele’s New Experience Centre

You can test out a mattress at a bed shop, so why shouldn’t you be able to do the same with your kitchen appliances? That’s the concept at Miele’s newly opened experience centre in Yaletown, which features a fully equipped kitchen where customers can take master classes from chefs on the use of their recent purchases, including state-of-the-art combination steam and convection ovens, which can roast a full turkey using 40 per cent steam. The showroom also features the German brand’s other laundry and kitchen appliances (many in the on-trend white colourway, which experts say is the new stainless steel) and coveted vacuums (which our editor-in-chief swears by). And with dishwashers starting at just $1,000 there’s even something for the newlyweds. We’re melting over Miele. —Lise Boullard
