What do glass eyeballs, vintage corsets, pinball machines, ethical taxidermy, prosthetic limbs and Buzz Lightyear action figures all have in common? They are all collected by individuals who love them very, very much. You will find an abundance of these items and more in the exhibition All Together Now at the Museum of Vancouver.
Connecting people, objects and the city, the MOV committed to showing a diverse range of collections that tell stories about Vancouver. One of the largest displays ever at the museum, All Together Now features 9000 square feet of exhibition and twenty collectors that were handpicked from thousands of submissions. You can learn more about the passionate collectors as they share their unique stories alongside their objects that together reveal more about the history and personality of Vancouver.
Fun fact: the MOV was inspired by the early roots of today’s modern museum known as the cabinets of curiosities that were popular in the 16th to 19th centuries. —Laura Busby
