Remember last year’s Food Cart Fest? Well, it’s back this year on Aug. 6 and 7 in a bigger and better incarnation. The two-day Street Food Showdown features more than more than 80 restaurants, food carts, wineries and breweries. They will all converge in Olympic Village for a tasting extravaganza, and each food cart/truck will offer smaller, taste-sized items as well, so that you can taste a little from every vendor. For bigger appetites, there’s the all-you-can-eat ticket, that lets you go hog wild before general admission opens up.
And, don’t miss the Sunday night speaker series! Food for Thought features local writers, chefs, brewers, sommeliers and nutritionists speaking on various food culture topics. —Anya Levykh
