Just four nights is all we’re getting, and knowing what we know, they’ll be four nights of creative genius proportions. We’re talking about Toruk – The First Flight, a new Cirque du Soleil production inspired by James Cameron’s mega blockbuster AVATAR.
From Dec.14-18, the Pacific Coliseum will play host to the Cirque’s 37th production that promises a visually stunning show, narrated by a “Na’vi Storyteller” set thousands of years pre-Pandora.
According to the company’s press release, it’s a “riveting fusion of cutting-edge visuals, puppetry and stagecraft, buoyed by a soaring cinematic score.”
Speaking of score, to reserve a seat, you’ll have to act fast (!) as tickets go on sale this Friday here.
Can’t wait until then? There’s an app for that! Including behind the scenes photos and videos for what’s sure to be another bonafide hit. —Aurea Dempsey
