Craving pizza but don’t want nothin’ to do with the fast, frozen, or delivery varieties?

Enter Virtuous Pie, Chinatown’s new plant-based, fast-casual pizza and ice cream joint. Its mission is to change the way people eat—one slice (or scoop) at a time. Vegan pie doesn’t necessarily equate to a blah absence of meat. Think buffalo chicken wings made from cauliflower on the Stranger Wings pizza or jackfruit “pulled-pork” on the Korean-inspired Kim Jack-Il. The 1,100 sq ft space pays homage to old world Italy while seamlessly blending into a black and gold counter space styled like an Instagrammer’s living room, Kinfolk Magazine to boot. The three communal tables perfectly espouse Virtuous Pie’s community-focused values, encouraging casual conversation between strangers; we experienced it when another customer shared this with us, “This is one of the best pizzas I’ve had—vegan or not!”
