The popular Eataly food concept, which started as one location in Turin in 2007 and now has 27 locations worldwide, is coming to Canada. Eataly is considered the largest Italian marketplace in the world, housing restaurants, retail vendors, bakeries, food stalls and a cooking school.
The first Canadian location will open in Toronto’s Manulife Centre. Don’t start salivating quite yet, though, as construction is only set to begin early 2017, with completion set for 2019. It will cover three levels and around 50,000 square feet. Who’s getting hungy? —Anya Levykh
