Edmonton’s newest bar and restaurant is bringing a touch of class to Jasper Avenue. Clementine is the creation of craft cocktail crew Volstead Act who has been slinging delicious libations at events in Edmonton for years. You know this place is special as soon as you walk in the door. Lighting is low and gold and copper accents shine softly while expert mixologists pour potions over a bottom-lit bar. There’s a distinct old world, prohibition feel to the design but the menu is anything but stale. Some of the city’s most daring and delectable dishes are coming out of this kitchen. We recommend the Sourdough Rye Pancake with Jambon de Paris. You’d also be remiss if you didn’t pick your poison from their extensive cocktail list. The Pomme is a refreshing sip with house pressed apple juice, tarragon honey and vodka. Or if you’re feeling adventurous try one of their many absinthe offerings. The service production alone is worth it!
