Cyclists and coffee lovers will want to pay a visit to this new Calgary café on 17th Avenue that takes both pastimes seriously.
Velo Café is one of the city’s only cycling cafés; cyclists meet up here before and after rides and to watch cycling events. Non-cyclists are, of course, welcome, too. As for the coffee: Vélo only serves single-origin coffees, meaning the beans come from only one country/region, such as Rooftop Coffee Roasters from Fernie.
And we haven’t even mentioned the food, which includes delicious French-inspired treats such as croque monsieur, éclairs and croissants. —Sara Samson
