We’re all busy. So, give us a 45-minute workout that could get us looking as lean and strong as Nicole Kidman and we’re more than intrigued.
F45 has just opened up in Yorkville and the fitness regime, hailing from Australia, is based on high-intensity interval training (HIIT). With more than 3,000 exercises (all functional, i.e., mimicking moves you actually do on a regular basis, like pushing, twisting and pulling) used in various combinations, each daily workout offered is different. Screens on the wall help guide you as you move from station to station completing your reps. With the quick pace and variety, our class seemed to fly by faster than designer goods flying off racks at a Barney’s warehouse sale.
With Yorkville as Toronto’s second location (and four more soon to open in the GTA), F45 promises to have lots of locals functioning in peak form. —Karen Kwan
