The quintessential kid gift, a bike, has just become a whole lot better.
Yvolution makes wheels of all kinds, for wee ones of all kinds (and, it turns out, their mamas and papas, too). First up: the Strolly Compact—an easy folding stroller system that converts into a push trike and then a pure balance bike for when your babe is ready for the next step (in other words: they can push, pedal and progress!). We took this terrific trike out for a test ride with our two-year-old, and loved the safety pole that gave us total control as our girl gained confidence on three wheels (she was the coolest kid in the park, to boot). Once she is ready to go it on her own, we plan to join her on Yvolution’s Fliker Lift—it may have been made for kids, but this three-wheeled self-propelling scooter provides parents with a fun (and, if desired, fitness-focuased) ride, as well. It uses the same side-to-side motions as downhill skiing, so mommy’s hips and legs get a great workout … while keeping up with the kiddo, too.
