We’ve always wondered what it’s like to be that hip person at the coffee shop. You know, the one with the swanky headphones, immersed in his or her own little corner of coolness while the rest of us fumble around trying to snag a table.
In an effort to join these ranks we happily jumped at the chance to try out the new Defunc MUTE headphones ($220 at London Drugs). The Swedish audio brand (yes, they truly do get everything right over there) just released an active noise-cancelling version of its wireless Bluetooth pair, crafted to eliminate low-frequency sounds while you groove along to your main tunes or take in that intriguing new podcast. With options for classic black and (our fave) stylish gold, the pair features a sleek touch panel, adjustable headband and braided charging cord, and lasts an impressive 10 hours when fully juiced.
So basically, we’re now just making up reasons to wear them around in public. And best of all, we’ll finally be queen of the café. —Rachel Johnston
