From falsies to extensions, it seems every gal’s gone gaga over lashes! And now there’s a brand-new way to achieve a fabulous fringe.
The latest eyelash-boosting technique, Yumi Lashes, has finally arrived in Canada, offering longer, thicker, more-luscious lashes, no harsh chemicals or extensions required. For real. We recently got ours done by one of B.C.’s few Yumi-certified techs, Shelby Turner of The Attic Hair Studio in Vancouver (book her by finding @yumilasheskitsilano on Instagram or Facebook). Taking about an hour to complete, the process is much like a "lash lift," wherein our natural lashes were gently extended and "set" on a silicone holder using a sugar-based glue. From there they were treated with an infusion of vitamins, protein and pigment (like a tint, only healthier) to achieve the final look. Lasting for up to two months (depending on your natural lash cycle), the results are beautifiably genius! And can we talk about our morning routine, no longer needing mascara? Game changer.
Needless to say, the latest, best beauty secret is out, friends, and we’re gladly sharing it. —Aurea Dempsey
