Mom Guilt Gone

Ever since I had my daughter (two years and counting), I’ve been plagued by mom guilt around virtually every aspect of her life, from daycare (having to pry her off my leg, crying and screaming, at morning drop off) to diet (I’m not above cookie bribes to prevent public meltdowns). Now, a new survey by Catelli pasta shows it’s not just me (phew)!

According to the study, more than half of parents in my home province of B.C. feel daily guilt that they’re not doing as much as they should to raise healthy, happy children—the highest rate in Canada. The poll further revealed that, due to mounting pressures surrounding their kids’ diets, almost two-thirds of Canadian parents would actually give up social media, chocolate or wine for their children to eat healthier during meal time!

With these insights in mind—not to mention, an aim to reassure Canadians that being real about these experiences feels good—Catelli has been working with parents across the country, encouraging them to share and celebrate their real-life parenting stories via its Real Feels Good campaign.
